Hajr Company Owner Engr. Tawfik Al Ghazal, Engr. Mustafa Al Ghazal—General Manager and Dr. Ali Al Gadhib— Academic Consultant of THIEP visited the Oil and Gas Mining (OGM) and Kangan Institute last July 29—August 3, 2016 in Victoria, Melbourne, Australia.

This weeklong visit is a requirement of the partnership that has been undertaken by both
academic institutions. The Memorandum of Understanding which took place last February
2016 has sealed a tie in delivering an internationally recognized Vocational Skills Training
Program in Welding, Pipefitting, Rigging and Scaffolding.

“Quality education is the top priority of THIEP. What forms part of it is to have a tie-up with other academic institutions and be recognized both by local and international market and community” Engr. Mustafa said during a conversation.

“ It is a must that in order to be a quality vocational institute, we have to produce quality students. We can only achieve this by providing them quality training program that is complementary to international standard. In this manner, we are able to produce highly qualified and employable students” Engr. Mustafa added.

Prior to this trip, the team also went to New Delhi, India and visited OGM-India to inspect and observe how does everything being managed and operated. The team was accompanied by Peter Lindford, Vice-President of Hajry Al Nasri.

“The whole institute is very much inspired as the Hajr Co. and THIEP management, including myself, fully supports this partnership. It is another leap and milestone that should be carried-out with action and focus.

Everyone is really taking its part to be proactive and enthusiastically giving their share making this possible. The whole faculty is now ready to start the training program, as always” Dr. Ali noted.
